King Me is an examination of the current status of the world, reflecting on the aftermath of a turbulent year. This site-specific installation echoes the highs and lows of 2017 through a sea of rising and falling pillars, riddled with arrows, resting upon a pile of rubble and debris, lamenting on the results of a warring nation.
King Me is both a sculpture and a performance art piece. Each arrow was fired live by the artist in front of an audience from a recurve hunting bow.
King Me was created for Understudy at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
